Opportunity Description:

The project involves implementing a newly designed and constructed DEVCOM ARL hyperspectral imaging system as a novel diagnostic to understand the internal structure of the fireball produced by aluminized explosives. The investigation will focus on optimizing optical configurations of the system for expected fireball scenes. Students will calibrate and develop data processing pipelines while collecting data from energetic and combustion phenomena. Time permitting, advanced data processing/management routines will be established.
