Opportunity: Language Technologies for Warfighters

This project investigates NPL methods and LLMs toward developing various military applications. The objective of this project is to develop language technologies to support Warfighters operating in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Indo-Pacific region. The participant will assist ARL researchers in developing training data and fine-tuning language models to enable a new generation of speech translation systems, optimizing performance and maintaining high-quality standards on small hardware platforms. The participant will work with multi-disciplinary teams, including researchers, software engineers, and computational linguists and complete the tasks as assigned including developing knowledge product, training data, and software components.
