Opportunity Description:

Evaluate the feasibility and performance of an RF-over-Fiber (RFoF) system for antenna remoting away from a radio, receiver, processing unit while preserving acceptable radio-frequency performance.

Goal 1: Develop Fiber Optic and RF over Fiber skillset.

Goal 2: Design and test a laboratory-scale analog RF-over-Fiber antenna remoting link, compare its performance against a conventional coaxial-cable connection, and deliver a recommendation identifying operating conditions where RFoF provides a practical advantage.

Goal 3: Develop whitepaper and presentation highlighting results of the testing and experimentation.
