Opportunity: Waveform Measurement System (WMS) Mod I

Opportunity Number:

NAWCAD-016

Opportunity Location:

Pax River, MD

Opportunity Description:

Modify the modular architecture Waveform Measurement System (WMS) to implement the Target Acoustic Echo Simulator/Repeater (TAESR) capability in modular, open-architecture WMS framework to intercept an incoming acoustic signal, modifies its parameters, and retransmits it back to simulate real targets. Work requires MATLAB and LabView coding and working in a team environment.

Goal 1:
Insert time delays to simulate varying ranges; Shift incoming frequency to simulate changes in speed (Doppler Shift).

Goal 2:
Attenuate or strengthen the signal to simulate target strength and aspect dependence.

Goal 3:
Alter the angle of arrival azimuth and elevation and develop a user interface.

Opportunity Skill Set:

Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics,  or a related field.
